Totally agree, some of his play is close to genius for me. Will be there both nights and would like him to play both shows. Sorry Benny, but any real KJ fan would understand.

Absolutely!Paul is the first to admit he isn't the best time keeper. He told me that he was lucky to get away with it for as long as he did!But his drumming on Fire Dances is superb and I love some of teh Night Time era stuff where there is double tracking going on. That's great stuff.www.iamscuzzy.com www.myspace.com/scuzzywear--- vassifer at earthlink.net wrote:From: Alexander Smith <vassifer at earthlink.net>To: "A list about all things Killing Joke \(the band!\)" <gathering at misera.net>Subject: Re: [kj] BPF - "THE LEAST GOOD DRUMMER THEY HAD"Date: Fri, 29 Feb 2008 16:15:05 -0500

I'd love to see the rest of the post that this *ENTIRELY INANE* statement went with, but if I had to wager, it was penned by someone who listens to pseudo-prog-piffle like Dream Theatre and the like (i.e. someone who thinks "chops" are the source of all good music).

Big Paul plays with STYLE. That style is HIS OWN, and it is virtually INIMITABLE. THAT is what makes him good. Can he play like Neil Peart? Probably not, but who cares. When you hear Big Paul playing -- much like when you hear Geordie playing -- you IMMEDIATELY know it's him.

The person who wrote this statement cannot be ridiculed ENOUGH. **BRING HIM FORWARD!**
