No I just figure whoever came up with that term was a toff, in fact they’re
the kind of toff who’s likely to point out that I should have said
‘whomever’ instead…(takes one to know one).

 

There’s a fair bit I like about toffs actually, I wasn’t even meaning to be
demeaning believe it or not. 

 

Wasn’t there a character in Buster or Whizzer and Chips called someone
toff…? Tonight is nostalgia night it seems (day in your case).

Toffs? Don't really know that you mean, is everyone in the UK a toff?

 

Anyway, it's more a case of avoiding 'inappropriate' terms - wouldn't want
to prck the sensibilities

now would we? What would some granny think if they used the phrase "No Dog
Shit" instead? She

might spit out (or choke on) her dentures in disgust! (shock/horror, reality
bites).

 

Of course, it's all bollocks ;)

Dog Fouling…the toffs have such quaint terms for stuff, it’s almost
endearing!

 

On the other end of the scale today, read a comment on You Tube, as anyone
who has been there is aware, 90% of comments end up in massive slagging
matches, usually between illiterate retards, anyway one bloke called another
a “sack of fag jizz”…10 points for originality I thought.
