Roger is a lovely genuine bloke and really friendly and fascintating to talk too. The amount of muso's he has met or knows is unbelievable.

The Beat are currently recording a new album possibly with Adrian sherwood producing and Mick Jones doing their Strummer tribute which is a take on Rock The Casbah and one they are doing live.

He was also working on something with Geordie who sent him some guitar work but I don't know what happened with that. Haven't seen him since December.

Wowsers! I thought Joan was N. American!

That Jaz guys' head must've exploded then - he was a total cock when I met him! I
recognise the name Onionhead from JBs flyers I think.

This is the thing about Planty, he's a sound bloke, still lives local & goes to see
bands within the vicinity. He went to see his son's band at a pub down the road from
me - inevitably I didn't find out 'til later...

Good old Rankin Roger!

Joan A is from Handsworth.

Rankin Roger lives in Bearwood and is often seen whizzing around on his roller blades

Jaz that's the one. I used to drive for a friends band called Onionhead and he was in the Sandkings (all coming back now) who played with Onionhead alot. I remember him being in the van a lot and seemed okay, talked about his band all the time who were pretty dour I seemed to remember. Drove Onionhead to dudley jbs for a show and met Robert Plant at the gig. He was really friendly and happy to talk for ages about music. Wasn't mad on Onionhead.

Man, how could I miss out the Beat??!! Didn't know about Joan A - wow!

Pass the dutchie will you?

That twat who did spaceman, he was in the mock turtles or sandhoppers - something like that.
His name is Jaz Mann (funny that). He came in our shop (Modern Music, Dudley) one day, pissed
a load of record company money away (I didn't mind!) & told me he was going to be a star & I'd be
seeing lots of him. Bear in mind I didn't actually know the guy. HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!! Smug prick.

Next time I saw him, he was on Brass Eye, having the piss ripped out of him by Chris Morris, who
asked him if he thought his music could be circular & whether he could learn to become a genius.
He totally agreed with Morris, including becoming a genius. Morris managed to keep a straight face.

MUHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A far cry from the days when you'd get members of Zeppelin in our shop.
