They come from the Black Cuntry! Not far from me, really. And Glen Tipton, amazingly, comes
from Tipton! Met KK Downing in the guitar shop I used to work in. And Dave Hill - what a twat!

And yes, I *do* sound a bit loike Rob Halford, bosting ar! :) Did Raven have a local accent? Never
heard him speak up close.

A few local Bands:

Sabbath
Priest
Napalm Death
Band of Joy / half of Led Zeppelin
Diamond Head
The Move / Wizzard / ELO / Slade
Steel Pulse
UB40 (ahem, sorry)
Final
Godflesh
Jesu
Moody Blues
Spencer Davis Group
Traffic
Dexy's
Durannies
Poppies (PWEI) / Stuffies / Neds Atomic Dustbin / Bentley Rhythm Ace
The Streets (talk about a Mockney accent!)
Charlatans (Jesus H Christ)
Ocean Colour Scene
Broadcast
Magnetophone
Lots of dance nights, such as CREAM, Atomic Jam, Gods Kitchen, etc, etc.

The mighty Mellotron came out of Bham too. Would love one of those!

We were also well into our electro/hip-hop/graffitti & that bad loser Goldie is local.

Oh & The Editors. Sorry again.
