I've heard Jaz say in an interview that he doesn't even remember what happened on stage after a good show. I've heard other musicians also say  they forget (Henry Rollins maybe?) while they're on stage. I think w/KJ it's largely due to the volume of the music--it's easy to get zoned out by that. Well, I'm afraid they've looked too far, as they could probably get a better answer from a nuerosurgeon, or anyone that knows about the brains' different 'modes' or 'trance states' as they're more commonly referred to. I've certainly felt this, though I've never thought it mystical, but it's common enough for me to recognise it & think "is this what all the fuss is about?" I see it as a mode & basically when playing, if it happens, well that's a result. It's pretty much that point at which you totally forget what you're doing & go into auto-pilot. The trick is to not panic & start over-thinking again! THAT's when the mistakes creep in. We tend to look OUTSIDE for answers to the inner questions, but the reality is that we have much more to learn about our brains & bodies. I can only guess that a lot of this mystical tat is pre-science attempts to explain these phenomena, but as can be seen again & again, we'd rather jump to the conclusions of outside influences/g0ds, than internal chemistry.> > Anyone ever felt a 'rush'?
