JB's, Stourbridge Rock Station, The Robin 2, et al - they're INFESTED with 'em!

I'm in Sunny Langley Green mate - very near Oldbury.

Ade which bit of the Black Country are from? Not Dudley way by any chance? Always seem to be tribute bands playing there!

Here, in the delightful Black Cuntry, it's been a spawning ground for these shitwits for over
a decade. Endless tribute bands for bands I'd never want to see anyway. They love 'the blues'
'round here...

Howsabout Eric Claptout & Din Lizzy - bit more realistically titled for most of these atrocious
so-called bands. It's the guys that try to look like their alter-egos, *without* a sense of humour,
that rock. Ego-wankfest ;)

Love Like What What, In The Butt.

They should call it - wait for it - they should call it: Wardance. Or,

Live Like Blood? ('live' as in a gig)
In L.A. they can open for Caress Of Steel, a local Rush-tribute band

and make it a local Prog' Rock Night.

Should we start a tribute band? That way all the fans get to see their KJ faves performed in pubs
up & down the world. Pretend-Jaz could pretend to act MENTAL, Pretend-Geordie could put on a
really bad geordie accent & moon around with silly hair/no hair/a hat, etc, etc...

FIREDANCERS, or something equally poorly constructed. TOTAL INVADERS. Christ, that's shit.

If I was Pretend-Geordie, I'd be foul-mouthed & annoying at gigs, so not a great portrayal, but
Pretend-Jaz would NOT be happy - pretend tension for a pretend band!

And even that was delayed a year or more.

There's always been a streak of the 'anti-social' to them - besides, someone else is

out there trying to build a rival island to Jaz Island. ;~) That kind of antagonism might make

King Jaz and the band in general turn more defensive.

Me I'm still waiting for their album supposedly recorded and rehearsed in a war zone.

I don't think the drinking cellar of a local Prague pub counts as a war zone, unless of course Jaz is referring to some 'war within himself.'

Do you think that Jaz and Geordie are somehow morally obliged to come to the

Gathering and talk to us? At least once? Do you think the internet, given

it's ability to bring people closer together, means they've no excuse

to basically ignore us for the last 10 years? Raven spoke to us, why don't

they? Just a 'Hello' would be nice. A freakin postcard maybe.

Doesn't have to be forever.

Not just a MySpace page that they don't even run themselves. And not just

the odd message on KJ.com.

Bastards. Speak to us. Gods, say something.

I mean, why didn't Geordie just come here when he wanted feedback about his

recent side project instead of going through a third-party on 'his'

MySpace page.

Do you think they are old farts who haven't grasped the internet? Or could

they have legitimate concerns about being pestered? Are they just aloof or

trying to be 'cool'? Or do they just not really give a f*ck about their

long-suffering fan base?

You stick with the band through highs and lows for half your lifetime and all

you get is a Gathering 25th Anniversary CD with yet another version of Wardance

on it. Coming here for a bit of a chat would be better.

I wrote to them once and asked if they'd like to come around to my house

for tea with my mum and dad - and they couldn't even be bothered to reply.

Yet Bono, Prince and Liam Gallagher, they all came around and we had a great

laugh.
