Chomski thinks his shit through, considers ramifications & knows the world revolves around pros
& cons, not ideals. I think Rimbaud is a tad keen to throw 'right-on'-isms about, relying on slogans,
etc. Nevertheless, I think his idealistic view is more tempered these days, which appeals to me. I
think more of us truth- searching, wrong-hating, esoteric types identify with Rimbaud, 'cos he's really
just a Pub Philosopher, whereas Chomsky *seems* to actually know how the world works!

People will always buy shit from celebrities, no matter what their politics, or common sense in this
case.

I just find Chomski's work a little more comprehensive and prolific, in relation to Rimbaud. I agree on the absurdity of the sale. > Date: Tue, 3 Jun 2008 10:46:51 -0500> From: bigblackhair at sbcglobal.net> To: gathering at misera.net> Subject: Re: [kj] CRASS commercialism!> > They are in the same category of "people that are still alive" and who > are "absurdly easy to get in touch" with or get letters from.
