The market reality is a bit funny at the moment. Bank stocks have taken a
hammering due to their write-downs on bad debt, CDOs that include subprime
debt etc. So interestingly some of the more conservative funds have done
better than the more aggressive, growth-oriented ones.

My money is invested in a single tech company that provides internet
security. Seems like a good idea, more and more people are coming online
all the time, and the security risks are getting more and more...

Ethical investing consciousness is raising and that's encouraging. I'm not
interested in investing in anything dodgy, but it can be hard to tell. I
mean how do you know whether the company your money is in doesn't provide
goods and services to another company that makes cluster bombs or land
mines...? So yeah you need to do your research.
