That fucking sucks, at the very least provocation will be able to be used
as defence. Tell her to get a good lawyer who specialises in this kind of
thing, the case will come down to perception. Express remorse, do anger
management, letter of apology, reparations, references to say it's way out
of character etc...

Choke em out and run I say, but you're gonna get nabbed these days anyway
due to CCTV being everywhere, you just have to take it on the chin I
suppose. I've been able to do it several times, I just disassociate myself
from the personal attack, knowing that whoever happened to be there at the
time was gonna cop it. But depends on my mood, could easily lash out. I'm
just aware of the consequences and it's not worth it unless you're
defending yourself or someone else. Provoke them to attack if that works,
then it's all on.
