Meant tongue-in-cheek (I'm sure?) from an otherwise serious site. 
Although the ways the article posits to destroy the earth would indeed 
destroy it, most of them would be impossible with current technological 
levels. It's still fun to read -- sort of like a grandiose 
arch-villain's "how to" manual in a comic book or something.
