I think Tsar Bomba is more powerful in terms of yield, whether Starfish Prime was more destructive (if they had upped the payload) is open to discussion . . I find the idea they had no idea what would happen to be both funny and frightening

Operation Plowshare was an interesting one, it wasn't really designed to test the destructive capabilities of the bombs but seemed to be hinting at the idea of using nuclear weapons in civil engineering . .

Wow, never heard of that. Thanks. But wasn't Tsar Bomba still more
powerful? I don't ask because I have some investment in some possing
match between the two, I am just wondering, factually if that isn't
still the case...?

Also, you probably heard about the US's plans to detonate nukes on the
moon at one, a plan the US abandoned, (un)fortunately:
