Excuse me Alex, and I meant Firehose.

Different strokes for different folks.

It's fIREHOSE, not Firehouse (who were a crap hair metal band).

And their first album, RAGIN' FULL ON, was brilliant.

I hear you Greg. I never got to see Husker Du and that is one band I wish I
saw. I saw Flag maybe 4 times in their hey day from 82-86 and the Minutemen
twice. Firehouse I saw too in 91 but I really wasn't that impressed with them
as with The Minutemen.

Clubs are not what they used to be in L.A. anymore. The Whiskey is full of
unknown bands that never play any other club in L.A. and would not go anywhere
in this town or any other for that matter but to fade away like dust in the
wind down the L.A. river. They do not leave a notch anywhere in the scene
maybe because they suck? The Whiskey does not even have top notch bands anymore
and whoever books that club needs a lesson in music. The last time they
booked a Punk gig? I cannot remember for I do not think they do Punk shows there
anymore. I saw the UK Subs there in 2000 and there was like only 50 people
there at the most! That was sad for it was the original line up and The Subs
rocked as always! Anyway times keep a changing as that hippie said once. ;)

Cheers,
