Hey:

For the specific task of ripping streams form internet radio stations, 
another little known gem for the Mac is iNet Stream Archiver, which is a 
$15 piece of shareware and well worth it.  As you listen to the station, 
it downloads the songs as MP3s and stamps them with the name of the song 
and the artist (assuming the station has embedded these properly).  You 
can d/l from multiple stations simultaneously, regardless if you're 
monitoring it or not, and it will automatically skip songs you've 
already downloaded.
