I also sought out ROCK DRILL by the Sensational Alex Harvey Band based on Killing Joke, which is great.

I've looked and looked and looked but have never been able to track down anything by the Matt Stagger Band. Ah well.

I used to have the Crush album (Big Paul's post-Warrior Soul project), but hated Fred Schreck's vocals so much I believe I had to sell it to get it out of my apartment.

I don't think VICTORIOUS CITY is really all that far, though. I mean, listen to "Force and Fire," and you can practically hear Geordie playing something similar on his guitar. In that instance, it's merely a difference of instrumentation. It's probably the Jaz solo (well, quasi-solo) piece I'm likely to play the most (read: at all).

But yeah, I bought Oceana and Fanfare for the Common Man (or whatever it was) -- both off eBay for handsome sums, if memory serves. Suffice it to say, while they're interesting via their association to Killing Joke, they don't get a lot of airtime on Radio A.L.E.X., so to speak.

What is the most obscure, unlike-KJ or furthest-from-KJ sound/s you have heard
that you discovered by following Killing Joke's musical breadcrumbs?
(and maybe some great suggestions otherwise unheard of..)

For me it's been,
...the Maori-influenced music of Oceania via Jaz,
...the african drumming of Amanpondo via Juno Reactor which was via Youth and KJ,
...and "Songs from the Victorious City", also via Jaz.

In other words, how far astray has Killing Joke led you?
