i can see your point there of course,i was just refuring to the lady that olly informed us about,not a whole industry par-say ;)
 
there are to sides to every story--that line of work can be hardcore-soul distroying as you mention in your post--devacor--as long as the person is happy and confident in what they are doing,then theres no abuse,if there was,i would like to believe that the ladys would have good sence to get out and quick from the line of work and if they cannot,well if its down to drugs dependancy-well sorry,i am not a big supporter of hard drugs--why--they screw peoples minds up and land them in tricky situations,like the seedy end of lap/pole/strip-dancing ;?
 
milinda ps there is a beautiful side to this industry ive herd,where the woman are in full control of what they are doing,there money and there rights-so its not all sad endings,alot end up very rich and respected!!!!

I have a close friend who is a dancer/stripper and have had dealings w those in the adult entertainment industry. 
A female involved in any of that has usually (90 % or higher) been either molested/raped as a child or teen, abortions,  physically/,mentally abused, drug/alcohol issues, esteem issues or a nice little cocktail of all that. With all that comes apathy and disassociation which you need a hefty dose of to be in any of those industries. 
"doing what she wants to do"- well I can tell you this, if they outwardly tell you otherwise catch them at the right time and push the right buttons you will find none of them are doing what they want to do. You gotta really convince yourself  that you are to some level, but that can only go so deep. 
also "doing what she wants to do" - well a heroin addict is doing what they want to do- a child molester is doing what they want to do, etc etc.
