I have a close friend who is a dancer/stripper  and have had dealings w those 
in the adult entertainment industry. 
A female involved in any of that has usually (90  % or higher) been either 
molested/raped as a child or teen, abortions,   physically/,mentally abused, 
drug/alcohol issues, esteem issues or a nice little  cocktail of all that. With 
all that comes apathy and disassociation which you  need a hefty dose of to be 
in any of those industries. 
"doing what she wants to do"- well I can tell  you this, if they outwardly 
tell you otherwise catch them at the right time and  push the right buttons you 
will find none of them are doing what they want to  do. You gotta really 
convince yourself  that you are to some  level, but that can only go so deep. 
also "doing what she wants to do" - well a heroin addict is doing what they  
want to do- a child molester is doing what they want to do, etc etc.
