[kj] When Veggie Goths Cry...

Speaking of Phil Collins and Public Image....

Did I not read somewhere that Phil Collins got the inspiration for the heavily gated drums on "In the Air Tonight" from Flowers of Romance? I think maybe I did....

So I
guess the Brand X stuff is more muso-tastic, whereas the Genesis stuff would
simply be part of the music, as a whole. Too much gated reverb though mate. TOO
MUCH!! Fucking Eastenders!!!

PC's Brand X drumming is very good. I seem to remember reading an
interview with him saying that there was no way he could approach that level
of playing these days (sad old git :)
His Genesis playing during the Gabriel era and the
Banks/Collins/Rutherford/Hackett era is also credible. From then on it's a
matter of personal taste whether you like what he and the band were doing
;)

It's no less sickening! His Brand X stuff is what made his musiciany

To be precise that is in fact a Genesis song rather than a Phil
Collins song. But I'm sure for the purposes of your comment it doesn't
really matter :)

PC - a very good drummer as someone said but sadly lacking
as a solo songwriter.
