Did you see Foxton while he was being bass player for SLF?  (Not sure when that started, but it can't have finished more than a few years ago.)  I thought he did a creditable job.

Went to see From The Jam last night for some pure nostalgia having never seen the original band.  This is the version with Rick and Bruce in and some guy from a tribute band I think.  I must admit they  were excellent and really enjoyable.  Bruce Foxton is my new hero and what a bass player.  The good thing was it was not a hits night and although there was those you’d expect Tube Station, Going Underground, Funeral Pyre, Wardour Street etc.  there was a lot of album stuff and they played Saturdays Kids and David Watts as well – cool.  Lots of great clothing and a lot of singing “we are the mods” which I  off course led.   The only drawback was a fourth member who played keyboards when required but was an extra guitarist for most of it which was unnecessary  and seemed to defeat the object.  Worth seeing
