[kj] OT: Firefox

I'd say raise a toast to Marc Andreeson (inventor of the first browser,
Mosaic, on which all others are based, check the small print), but I fear
one more step towards the geek side and I'm going to have to declare myself
a full-blown born again adult virgin.

Plug-ins are awesome for FF. I just find Opera Easier on the eyes, more
streamlined and very very fast. Real snappy!
You can have FF masquerade as any browser you want.

Let's not forget lynx. LOL. Old School!

Firefox allows you to masquerade as IE, I reckon that'd do away with most
need for it entirely.

My Firefox is really pumping now, if I had a chest it'd be all swelled with
geek pride.

I love my Opera!
(Though I do use the FF and IE as well. Opera is my main)

This is a good defence to the recent article I posted about Firefox being a
top security risk (which just doesn't sound right):

ulnerable+App/article13717.htm

Gotta admit I wondered at the bias when I didn't see M$ operating systems,
browsers, or Office in the list.(!)

I also had a tweak and got FF 3 working much snappier, quite noticeable even
on a fast (10-15Mbps) connection:

548570&pnum=2> &objectid=10548570&pnum=2

(I used the 2 add-ins and found some other config tweaks on another site cos
these ones aren't all FF 3 current.)

I'm gonna install Chrome and see how that goes.
