[kj] Oh the Irony!!!

Yeah dealing with them has turned me into a really hard negotiator,
because they'll shit you any chance they get. The last 3-4 contracts I've
had they have all tried to hit me with a fee for indemnity insurance,
ALWAYS just as you sit down to sign the contract. As if it's your expense
not theirs...last contract I had I refused to sign and gave him a
bollocking about it, basically said his whole profession are a bunch of
crooks...he walked out of the room like it was all over (bluff), then came
back in within 5 seconds and spent the next hour apologising profusely
(?!). The fact is, I'd already worked for 2 years at the company he was
putting me in to, in that exact specialist role, had a great reputation
there, he was clipping the ticket at least twice as well as most standard
contracts...so all up you're talking a few hours work in return for sveral
thousand over the contract...and they want to rip you off by another 50c /
hour (!)...without telling you beforehand.

And yeah, a lot of them have absolutely no idea technically...in all
honestly I've yet to meet a decent one. I supported a company of
recruiters once...bunch of big overblown egos.
