Yeah, I'll 'fess up: i absolutely love TV tho' not at all blind to it and all its
huge flaws BUT that said, since i get all my news, info, and generally most
anything that's instructive I get from the internetsss (or a universary library)
I can fully and most truly afford to wallow, indulge and enjoy television in all
its sick, decadent, and devolutionary glory. LIke a bodybuilder eating bag
after bag of nacho chips w/2 quarts of sour cream to dip 'em in. Oh yeah.

It's funny. TV seems to be at its best and at its worst all at the same time. For every douchebag "reality" show, there is something like Dexter or Southpark to counter it. Rescue Me, the Office, Entourage, Flight of the Conchords, Kenny vs Spenny, the Daily Show, the Colbert Report....yeah, TV is pretty awesome.

I'm a dumb-ass too then - I love television. You'd have to be missing a sense of humour not to appreciate TV comedy of some sort, whether it's the overrated Fawlty Towers or the underrated Father Ted, how anyone can simply dismiss all TV as mindless is beyond me. (And of course there's the obligatory mention of quality documentaries, blah blah blah...)

(TV) Highlight of the Week: Harry Hill's TV Burp. Meta-TV!

Well it's not that surprising to me, call me a dumb-ass (or a victim of the modern times if you want to be polite), but to be honest i would be sad without a TV at my house. It's not i watch it a lot (around 1 and 2 hours at night mostly), but i enjoy some TV shows a very lot. And at this point, with two babies on board and no chance to go out to the movies, gigs, etc. my TV is like solid gold!

Dumb asses are easily pleased...sceptics and realists end up being

pessimists...(haven't read the article yet tho ;)

In most countries worldwide, Gallup finds that people who have a

television in their homes also express higher well-being and optimism

than do those without TVs in their homes.
