I honestly don't know enough about Prog rock to voice a credible  
argument here (not that that's ever stopped me before), but if I had  
to wager, I'd imagine it was a British band, no? Or was it Iron  
Butterfly?

What are the seeds of prog? Jammy psychedelia?

Discuss.
