[kj] Any clues??

Pretty sure it's not Big Country. I'm wondering about the heavy toms. Sounds
Gothy to me, although the absence of any proper vocals is a significant
handicap. Not Play Dead, but might be something like a Furyo session. Didn't
pay enough attention to KJ support bands around that time, but the vocal
snippet sounds male, so no March Violets, at least. Crown of Thorns?
Bassline sounds unadventurous. Wonder if it might be Danse Society. Will
think harder. If it weren't recorded through a thick pair of socks, the
production might give us more of a clue.
Am impressed Colesy is kind enough to reply to such a vague query!

Big Country, maybe?

Bloody hell, is that all you've got?!
It sounds vaguely familiar just when that millisecond of vocals
starts up... can he do a longer snippet?

Can anyone work out who this is from the short and mussy attached MP3.
Colesy asked me and I haven't a clue. I know that it was recorded from the
radio, probably Peel, in 1984.
There's one for ya!
