[kj] OT: Jane's WAS: New October File vid

Sorry, as I struggle to get out of needlessly argumentative mode, but
Jane's Addiction may not have been your particular cup of tea, but
calling them "LA Glam Metal" is just incorrect. Speaking as someone
who owned his fair share of albums from that scene (Ratt, Motley
Crue, Quiet Riot, Lita Ford, Faster Pussycat, W.A.S.P, etc.), I can
very authoritatively say that they sounded NOTHING like those bands.

Guns N' Roses, on the other hand, WERE crappy LA Glam Metal. Why
people treat them with undue reverence as being anything OTHER than a
LA Metal band has always confounded me.

Again, I'm not saying Jane's Addiction were God's fucking gift, but
they weren't an LA Glam metal band.

Rant over.
