"New Romantic" was the tag affiliated with bands like Spandau Ballet,
Duran Duran, Classique Nouveaux, Visage and the like.

BRIGHTER THAN A THOUSAND SUNS may have boasted a slicker, softer,
smoother sound that its predecessors, but I assure you.... it had
nothing....

N O T H I N G

.....to do with anything "new romantic".
