I got the "Savage" edition with the bonus cd single that has 2 additional
songs and 3 demos of tunes on the album. So far, I'm not knocked out by it.
There's a few really good tracks like "Citizens," "I Assassin" and the lead
single "Dirty Little Rock Star" which will no doubt wind up being a regular
tune if their set for years to come but I can't say this album is a home
run. Frankly, the production is a big factor in why this album doesn't come
off better. On first impression, it really fails to match the power of
"Beyond Good and Evil" where it should and lacks the modern sheen of the '94
self titled album. Obviously, I need to listen to it more to see if it'll
grow on me.

I did see them live a little over a month ago at a showcase gig locally and
they still deliver the goods. In fact, that show was even better then the
show I caught last year.
