I do like sludgy doom, so I'll check that out. (Bloody Panda.)

Maybe it's just me, but I've been noticing a resurgence of doom
metal...? I recently got the LP by Sweden's Gloomy Sunday, and it's
amazing stuff: http://www.myspace.com/gloomysundaydoom [some songs from it]

I can even hear a kind of Killing Joke-iness in some of it? A la
"Universe B"? (Definitely Amebix and Neurosis.) Or maybe I think there
are bits of things in everything that sound like KJ now. You have
probably heard Gallhammer. I like Gloomy Sunday a lot more than
Gallhammer, however.
