Just got my copy today too, at long last! Lovely packaging, yes -- but like the others, the glueing on the cardboard sleeve is slightly flawed. Booklet is lovely. Looking forward to pouring through the notes this evening. Still sort've confused why they didn't combine this and INSIDE EXTREMITIES into one sprawling box set (would've been simpler, no?) Also came with some needless October File bumper stickers.

Now looking forward to the rest of the re-releases. All a bit bittersweet in the wake of Raven's passing, though, no? Why do I keep feeling like these are the final installments?

Cannot shake feelings of malaise. Yesterday, ironically had an interview back at TIME Magazine -- the same day my final severance check from MTV News arrived (they now have officially severed the chord, leaving me stranded on a vocational iceberg). Bizarrely full circle. Not really sure I'd want to go back there, though.

It's a strange fucking world.

mine arrived late yesterday, the little cardboard box package-packering is a nice touch, but yes must admit also, that the sleeves holding the 2 disc was not held together properly, but the discs are in ok shape ;-) (one of them are black btw) also pleased with contents on the disc, only played this morn kinda quickly though b.4 shooting of to work, will have a more thorough listen during week, have not viewed quality of dvd as yet. now i read from cover,to cover last night-- the contents in provided booklet, much insight about a few things i did not know about--shock-- and many laughs in there also, the deep introspective thoughts from jaz about himself/ k.j past/present and the going ons--during that time and more recently, that make k.j id say the most interesting band/people for miles around--jazas exsplanations to all of the lyrics individually was also an eye opener,as i thought some of the lyrics ment something other than jaz wrote, and so in most cases,i was releaved i can tell you that the lyrics had different meanings than what i had,had in mind ;D)) very pleased with booklet--plus quite alot of pics to view also in there, cannot find anything to fault it,only one thing, just wish of course that it was twice as long,as i do enjoy reading jazas thoughts everytime ;P melinda ps still waiting on the vinyl to arrive, theres no rush,i dont even have turn table, just for collectable reasons i brought that one!!!!

Stunning speed, for PHD to this address (though they had a good 3 months to plan my pre-order).I second Rob's thoughts but add a warning on the packaging: While nice, it wasn't quite together for me. The glue on the sleeve that holds the discs wasn't fully pressed, so mine was coming apart, and I actually had to use considerable effort to extract the extras disc from the cardboard sleeve (which was glued to it). No damage, though. Otherwise looks very nice. Can't wait to delve into Jaz's thoughts on the lyrics, 17 (!) years later.-JiriRob's Arse wrote:

Mine turned up yesterday!Really nice box with a double pack CD inside. Excellent packaging.Haven't noticed a huge difference in the mastering (but noticed it was done by my mate Tim Turan who did some of Headcount stuff) but then I haven't really cranked it up.the CD itself is a black CD printed to look like a record and it looks a bit cheap to be honest. Also, some people are going to find it won't play on their systems. I had that experience with coloured CD's before.the extras are on a dual disc, one side CD one side DVD. The sound quality of the extra tracks is excellent. I like the slow version of Age of Greed. It's a live version, recorded in France somewhere. Is there a skip/jump in the middle? I'm not sure, but whatever, it's a document of a time isn't it?There is a great Jaz interview in there and some liner notes. Only grumble is that the writer confused Murder Inc with Damage Manual (maybe bad editing). Some nice thoughts from Jaz on the lyrics. Also bought the red vinyl package. It's excellent. Pressed on high quality vinyl, looks like the Czech pressings that Colesy does for MD. Much better all together than the recent KJ coloured vinyls which were lighter weight and the sleeves had spelling mistakes. Not noticed on these. Each label has a picture of the band which is a nice touch! All in all, a really nice job by PHD. Top marks.Hope you all enjoy it!www.iamscuzzy.com www.myspace.com/scuzzywear
