Oh right, let's not forget Townsend, who has said personally that he should "go down in history with Sigmand Freud and Jesus" due to his contribution to rock music. Whatever you say, old man. 

I've always really liked the song Truth Hits Everybody off of the first Police album.

FFS, Townshend has a major 4kin ego. Give me Zeppelin over Who ANY DAY.

I *like* The police. I always saw them as being of the same cannon as
Blondie, et al.

As for Sting - let's just refer to him as Stink.

'classic rock.' I don't think so. The Police are punk.
They're a punk band. They're not classic rock."

Townshend added: "You know, you've got the (Rolling)

over after that...this is just music. It's not classic anything."
