I never  did like the Ruts,  I found their song "Staring at the rude boys" to be very confrontational and aggressive, and Mr Black doesn't like confrontation

sorry to hear about Paul Fox,
despite the fact that i couldn't stand the singer in the ruts  i liked the  smart guitar work
which in the case of babylons burning was the only thing that made it listenable

that bit where the flanged guitar suddenly cuts across the normal distorted guitar track - very neat
