Hmmm, well, maybe there's been other bedtime reading than just Asterix and Tintin ;)

Subject: [kj] OTG and the Beatrix Potter connection?

Speaking of OUTSIDE THE GATE, I've fallen into a habit of reading my daughter Beatrix Potter's "The Tale of Peter Rabbit," which she has come to absolutely adore (she's 2 and a half, for those of you keeping score). In any case, throughout the second part of the book, the unsympathetic protagonist (it's a bit of a morality play) is unable to find his way back to the Gate. The numerous references to the Gate and Peter's difficulty on getting on the right side of it continually remind me of the album.

That I insist on reading the book to my daughter in the voice of Sean Connery is purely incidental.
