[kj] An Olive Branch for Olive-r

And regarding the Killers -- sweet shiny Jesus are those guys
assholes (talk about hair crimes!)

For a start, you should acquaint yourself with their second album
(which largely abandons their "new wavey" sound for a ham-fisted
appropriation hoarily overblown Bruce Springsteenisms). Couple this
with the fact that Brandon Flowers (the Killers' lead singer) is an
outspoken shit-talker and flagrant FLAG WAVER (rah! rah! team America!)

Seriously, folks -- if there're two things we can ALL agree on ---
shouldn't they be that (a) despite however nice a guy he may be --
Bruce Springsteen's music is whole-heartedly indefensible and (b)
anyone who defends America's current place in the world (as helmed by
the Bush administration) is a FUCKING JERKOFF.
