Adam,

I agree absolutely!

In fact, as I've gotten a bit older, I've come to appreciate Samhain as
much, if not a tad moreso, than the Misfits. In fact, am I the oonly one
who sees some Killing Joke-iness in Samhain's _November-Coming-Fire_?
Something about the guitar that's Geordie-esque, maybe? (If you can't
remember the LP, listen again -- it's a great album!)

By the time Glenn Danzig made _November-Coming-Fire_ he'd dropped the
comic book-y aliens, UFOs, and outer space vampires stuff and had become
more interested in the occult, just like Jaz at the time, from what I
understand. Glenn Danzig had not become the living cartoon character he
is today, and started to become with his first s/t LP in 1988. And I'm
almost certain Glenn must have heard a KJ album or two before making
_November-Coming-Fire_. The guitars, mood, everything seem very Killing
Joke to me.
