oh well, might as well fall for the bait.

But it wasnt was it Jon, it wasnt anyone related to you so you have no
idea how you would feel. The 'liverpudlian' association to wallowing
in grief is extreme but a trait too easily found in the UK - probably
elsewhere too - which leads to blind vigilantism in some extremes
where 'local communities' burn down a suspected paedophiles house.
Many a time, the action is taken by those not adverse to a bit of
housebreaking or criminality and the people targetted are innocent.
The culture excuses it though. It also tends to happen in areas of poverty.

So the terrible two did something reprhensible, so extreme that you
might refer to it as pure evil. However were these children spawned
that way or a product of their upbringing? How can we ensure this
never happens again? How can we free future Venables and Thompson from
that destiny too?

I hope that they can live their lives, not because of wishy washy
liberal ideas of not wanting to take responsibility etc BUT for the
simple reason that we still live in a world where we can overcome this
type savegry, where love does triumph, where we embrace the community
over the hedonistic selfish capitalism that is killing our identities.
