Yeah that brummie cunt Ozbourne is coming to NZ next year, surprising,
thought he was easing his way out of touring, I’ll be there, will be fucking
cool to see him, I’ll forget the whole stupid tv show. Think Alice Cooper
and Kiss are coming too, same gig!

Those gigs at the Mermaid and Kaleidoscope with Mick and Lee were phenomenal
- although I lost a bit of interest in them along the way the last two cd's
have been great - and I have the utmost respect for their political and
commercial stance

Importance: High

First time I saw 'em, was on that highly entertaining BBC documentary called
'Heavy Metal',
which also includes Jimmy Page for all you Zeppelin haters
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, when I saw them on that docu in '89, I couldn't help but see them as
a novelty
- I think many did when they heard 'You Suffer'. I never realised they were
so staunchly political.
I've mentioned them on here before & there are a few fans of the earlier
material. I always liked
Diatribes, but had not really gotten into the band.

So I went to see them again this summer, a good excuse to get my mate out.
Not my c0ck,
I mean to get my friend out the house. No, that's not another euphemism for
getting my
c0ck out in public, but if it makes you tingle, then that's OK.

Well, this time it just totally fucking clicked. Pure fucking gold!!!!!!!!
Since then I haven't
listened to much else. I love how they came back with Enemy in 2000 &
haven't stopped it
since. But then I like the 90's material too - the variation of this band
astounds. If you get
a chance to watch 'Punishment in Capitals', it's sure to make your
love-glands do things.

And the fact they're (originally) local to me (Birmingham UK, home of
METAL!!! \m/ ), highly
political, are a mixture of death, hardcore, punk, alternative, have great
influences such as
Killing Joke - they really stand out. They sound very English!. They don't
like to conform/
compromise, the original line-ups (the guys who recorded side one of Scum)
became Scorn,
Godflesh (talking of early Swans!) - all bands that give me the horn. Anyone
heard Scorn's Vae
Solis? Post-ND Cumfest.

So, anyway - give 'em a go - many of you may like to dip into them via
2003's "The Code is Red...
Long Live the Code": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJS76JZbP1s
