  The 'singer' is William Forsythe who also stared in the hilarious "Raising Arizona" as Evelle Snoats. 

  When Gale and Evelle are robbing a general store, Evelle's curiosity gets the better of him:

                            Evelle
  "Hey, do these balloons blow up into funny shapes?" 

                           Store keeper
  "Not unless round is funny"...
