Step 1: Do a WHOIS on their domain name.

Whatever the domain name of their site is, you can do a 'WHOIS' command to
find out all sorts of info about it. There are websites that will do a
WHOIS lookup for you so you don't have to fiddle around with the command
line:

Go there and type in the domain name, without the www part in front, and
without any of the crap that comes after like \whatever\music\blah

This won't necessarily tell you who hosts their website, but shoud give
you a lot of info. You may well be able to get their phone number and
address...all publicly available by the way, this is not hacking!

Step 2: Do an online NSLOOKUP

NSLOOKUP tells you who hosts a domain name, as well as mail, and website
for that domain. Can be different hosts for each.

Make sure query type is set to 'A' (them result for the website), type in
the domain name, a result will come back. Copy the last line at the bottom
(the IP address), then go back to the WHOIS tool above. This gives you the
info for the ISP who hosts the website...

Query type MX = who does their mail, NS = who hosts the domain name.

And all of the above is standard stuff, publicly available, not hacking by
any stretch of the imagination.

Happy to help offlist too if you still need a hand.

Cheers,

Brendan
