[kj] Few lunatic questions

The heavier sound came after the joke, quite probably inspired by the joke. Then later, they all went to bed together and cross-pollinated all over the place. But the heavier sound happened before the cross-pollinating.
  The chicken came first.

I always thought Ministry's "Burning Inside" was an amped-up near-ripoff of "Follow The Leaders".
So the question i have is, timelines aside (or not), did Martin Atkins cross-pollinate the sound from Ministry to KJ or from KJ to Ministry, or was that heavier late-80s sound from both bands two independent developments?

I can listen some influences, some tribal drumming, the repetetive guitar riffs (listen 'Breathe') but like Jim said before, they are not very obvious. I think the major influence can be found in the use of some effects and resources in the tracks more than in the sound itself: they mixed keyboards, samplers and distorted guitars and vocals. Ministry's sound in "The Land of…" and in "The Mind is a…" imho is more Punk/Hardcore oriented and the atmosphere may be a little bit goth/dark. That's something Killing Joke used too.
Since "Psalm 69" Ministry turned into a Metal band, but i still like them. "The Dark side..." is lame, but since "Houses of the Molé" they returned to form (maybe more Lard than Ministry).
I'm far to be a fan, but i love the mighty energy of their tracks.
