ITunes is a pain in the butt.

If you want good encoding use EAC with setting alt-preset-******
(*="extreme" or "standard")
I'm referring to lossy, not lossless though EAC does lossless as well.

For one of the best programs to use for a library, check out Foobar.

Not only is it tiny and takes up no resources but it's got a zillion plugins
as well. :)
