Well, no, it doesn't make it all OK... I just think there's a little
over-reaction here, and that he isn't serious. I just don't believe
Raven is (a) racist.

Leigh, that's what I thought. It seems strange that    this thread only got
going after Raven left to join another band. At the    Barfly gig Raven
was wearing a 'Don't panic, I'm Islamic' t-shirt. But he's    not, is he?
I'm beginning to think some of you really aren't getting the    joke,
no matter how crude and/or unfunny it may have been.

I had a    humdinger of a row with Jester around the time of the invasion
or    Afghanistan, in which he said we may as well bomb
ordinary people in that    country because their lives were already so
grim that they'd be better off    dead. When I'd had my say Raven
called me (if memory serves) a 'traitor',    but he was joking 
(I don't think Jester was, however). 

My point    here is that Raven is a wind-up merchant. And it sounds
like some of you    have fallen for it.
