Heh, you that's bad (Atkins auctioning "custom drum tracks" on eBay), in 
late '04, Eddie Van Halen was selling through a local broker on eBay hand 
painted "art guitars" that were ordinary Strat type Charvel guitars that 
he'd paint and stripe *in his kitchen* of his old 80's black/red/white 
pattern.

What he'd do is, spend a weekend at home with a few guitars and paint them, 
take them out and play each one for a couple songs during their crummy Sammy 
Hagar reunion tour so they'd qualify as "used by EVH live" and auction them 
off on eBay. To his credit, he'd get upwards of 20 - 30 grand per guitar for 
what was basically a $600.00 instrument. When this was going on, someone 
posted some hilarious photos of what looked like a very drunk Eddie (with 
bottles of empty wine around him) on his kitchen table in what otherwise 
looked like a nice dinning room and a big compressor and paint gun masking 
and painting a few guitars. Could you imagine the stench of paint in that 
house? I wonder if he eats dinner out in the garage, lol!
