[kj] OT:FNM guitarist

Personally I thought Jim Martin was the best guitarist FNM had. It was just
unfortunate that he was ostracised by the other members, so much so that
(apparently) some of his guitar parts were either excluded or toned down
from Angel Dust and then he was given the boot. The band really struggled to
find a replacement for him.

 

I met the band once and Jim and the drummer were really down to earth
friendly blokes. The bass player and keyboard player were monosyllabic, and
Mike Patton acted like a spoilt twat. Still, at least he was better than one
of their earlier vocalists ie Courtney Love
