So, the general consensus is, everyone is desperate to hear the new album live, because there are some really nice ideas going on with it, that have been completely shat upon in the recording process, and we would like to hear them in their true glory?
  Shame.

That's for sure. I think the new material could be great live, but what I heard didn't sound that great.

Maybe the new material is too fast for the old, drunken farts to play live night after night. So they stick to damned Total Invasion, and Bloodsport, instead. I wonder if "Implosion" slowed down would become "Lightbringer." Surely Judas Goat could be oppressively dark and pleasing live, and could replace something from KJ80 in their set. And Walking With Gods (shortened) or Tribal Antidote have shout-along-able choruses.

Even if they were, they need some serious practice first. -----Original Message----- From: gathering-bounces at misera.net [mailto:gathering-bounces at misera.net]On Behalf Of fatpotanga Sent: 16 June 2006 20:05 To: The Gathering Subject: Re: [kj] OK, I'm going reply.. Good for you! I too think it's a great album, but for me it's certainly not their best. The mix is not very good but live you can tell these would be brilliant. Pity they're not playing them... Have nice weekends mon petit filous Ooh - curry time :) On 16/6/06 19:07, "S. Sorensen" wrote:

Hosannas is my favorite Killing Joke album. I've been listening to his band for 26 years, but they really grabbed me by the balls with this one. I know it sounds like it was mixed by a hamster but it it is filled with the raging spirit and supernatural force that I demand from KJ. I love all of their albums (except OTG) passionately, but there's just an x factor about this one. I don't listen to KJ for prettiness or polish. I don't even know if I listen to their records, per se. Rather, I experience them. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
