Lebanon is todays chess board used by the different forces playing their political games. A previous chess board was Afghanistan and look where that took us recently.

This isnt new, its been going on since someone had something precious to protect. But that is the core principle. If you cant change the world change yourself (quoting MJ): If we live off the profits of this power games - and boy we do! - then unless we change the way we live on a daily basis the bleating on this list and others is simply 'bleating'. You can shout at each other with righteous attitude but you aren't actually doing anything are you!

If you want the cheaper petrol then the governments will look to gain control over that resource. If you want cheap luxury food then the corporations will get it to you baby, but someone else will be impacted. Whether its the rainforest being cut to allow more cows to graze to feed the mcburger demand to the removal of indigenous self sustaining ways of life to produce the food to fatten the calf that then fail and leave a land in famine.

Start at home, change the way we behave and stop acting like sheep coralled into pens bleating impotently.

amen
