[kj] Off Topic - Motley Crue

not that I'm particularly fussed by the whole KJ v
Crue thing, but...

these guys are on tv right now in concert.  The thing
that gets me is the fact that they really don't
'rock'.  I mean, the riffs are dull, the singing is
horrendous and the drummer plays rather less well than
another drum would.

there's no attitude in there other than a kind of lame
'lets party' thing.  its really music for fat girls in
half-empty metal clubs.

They just did a two song encore.  Covers of Helter
Skelter and Anarchy In The UK (complete with awful
Dick Van Dyke style vocals).

If you've ever seen Siouxsie's version of Helter
Skelter on the Nocturne vid I'm sure you'd agree that
their version compared to Crue's rocks harder, is more
aggressive and is 100% better.  Siouxsie makes Vince
Neil sound like a little pussy.

I'm beginning to think that Girls, Girls, Girls is self-referential.
