[kj] A better idea (banshees)

Probably... nah, never been much of a fan anyway, always found
their records rather dreary after first few albums. But despite that I expected, for some reason, a live show to be more... explosive.

I made a point of watching this t'other day... by christ it was dull. Were the Banshees always like this? Like watching paint dry. I saw them around this time but can't remember much about it to be honest - perhaps this is why! The sound
was good but as a live spectacle it was hugely tedious

it was a gig from 81, and they played most of JuJu plus Israel. have to
say
it was magnificent. the stage backdrop was a sky with moving clouds that

sounds cheesy but worked really well. love to have been there.
