i remember seeing this documentary ages ago on China in the 50's or 60's...
in one bit, there was a problem with sparrows in the villages...
so the people had to (peer pressure/fear) all go out, and scare them
to stop them from landing and resting... those images are still vivid
in my mind... heaps off people chasing swarms of birds until the birds
tired and couldn't escape.
then there was a bit about iron (or some metal)... the nation needed
it so all the people (same village i think) gave up all they had, in
the end they didnt have any proper cookware, and were using crap low
quality pots and pans, and getting sick and dying from allsorts of
related issues...

very very sad...


no matter what the political regime, mind control is one of our
'leaders' best weapons... and all govts use it...
