while Peter (west) likes to use topics on racial stereotypes, sexual
innuendo and political extremes to cause conflict as a wind up, the whole
point of symbols is that they have a meaning usually more significant to the
'believer' than to anyone else. The Nazi use of the symbol was because they
belived it inspired them with its properties which some may term magikal.
The power elite do not daub swatstikas on walls, that is the role for the
dumbnut who does it for self gratificatious shock value and who has no part
in the higher purpose. So you need to seperate the two apart.
The symbol, as mentioned below, has a great historical use, and so makes
perfect sence that there are people who still believes it invokes powers
that should be channelled. Did they build the pyramids just bacause it
looked nice in the skyline?
