just throwing a different slant on this - KJ realize that the Gatherers are a hardcore bunch who live and breathe a daily intake but their audience goes a lot further; the SBE and Astoria audiences were serious fans (I'll bet only a small percentage are Gatherers) so their set probably reflects the common denominator ie. the other 90% of long term fans who want the whole gamut, fucking Wardance etc......

I can't see why it should... surely a new bass player is a blank sheet of paper so they could learn anything, e.g. Nuclear Boy.
