Ah ha. I think I ve found the answer, something that makes sense all round:
The head of the Taxi firm was questioned by reporters about one of his 
drivers telephoning the Police about having a "terrorist " (as they thought 
at the time) in his cab. The Taxi firm Head was concerned about possible 
terrorist reprisal attacks ( bearing in mind the assassination in Ireland 
yesterday) and said that it was nt the driver who called the Police but the 
drivers next customer. Thats the logical explanation
